Under both the Lra (1925) and the Lra (2002), a restriction can entered against aregistered title. The restriction prevents the land being dealt with unless certain conditions are met. The owner of land can enter the restriction himself or, in some circumstances, it may be entered by the Registrar's staff. For example, a restriction is routinely entered to prevent land that is subject to a Trust being dealt with other than in compliance with the Overreaching procedure.
